In this period the territory around Faenza, in the province of Ravenna, really acquires a particular charm, especially with the first snowfalls that whiten the plain and the surrounding hills.
If you are around here on the occasion of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, you will not only be able to enjoy and admire the scenic spectacle that frames Faenza, but also be inebriated with the aromas and flavors that this festival brings with it. All the Old Town, in fact, in particular Corso Garibaldi, is used as Christmas markets, with the sale of clothing, games, decorations and decorations in an atmosphere of colors and party thanks to the lights present.
The stalls, however, are most famous for Nougat, which on this occasion is produced and sold in a classic way but also enriched with many different flavors: chocolate, gluten free and tiramisu are just a small example. Consider, then, that you can also witness the making of the torrone itself on site!
There are also many other food stands with typical local products, including the famous honey from the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines. The festival will last all day and will be preceded by religious celebrations at the church of San Francesco.
