Rome is beautiful, Rome is magical, Rome is the Eternal City… .but Rome is also a mess. I have been to Rome several times but always on vacation, never with schedules to be respected and obligations to be in a place at a specific time. But this time it was different. I had to be a 12 km from Rome for several mornings and I organized myself between subway and bus, in short, to do about ten km it took me about an hour, almost two the morning it rained.
Take the subway from Termini it is not difficult, also because the metro lines are two, the A and the B which both intersect between them and pass by Termini. To say that the Rome metro is in bad shape, however, is an understatement.
