On closer inspection, the historic center of Rimini offers, hidden in the shadows of its alleys, taverns, clubs and restaurants that are interesting and often out of time. Simone and I it is located approximately in the middle of via Santa Maria al mare, a stone's throw from piazza Ferrari. A few months ago it took the place of a historic restaurant-pizzeria (il fu Four Musketeers) distorting the message, but leaving the familiar and pleasant atmosphere intact.
Few tables, a fireplace and a folding ceiling that in the summer - and a loud screech of gears - can be opened to let a glimpse of a slice of sky. Restricted the choice of dishes which, with some fixed points, often change: cold cuts and cheeses, three first courses, three second courses, a side dish and homemade desserts. The wine list is rather rich - we choose the Sangiovese Superiore Tre Rocche di Nicolucci, Predappio.
To begin with, let's taste the two types of cutting boards - the choice of cold cuts and cheeses is not trivial, which includes, among others, an excellent bresaola delle Valtellina and castelmagno and gorgonzola with fig compote - and we continue with a tagliatella with meat sauce and all three main courses of the menu of the day : Chicken with walnuts, sliced with coarse salt e grilled pork cup - the latter is truly a tasty dish that deserves to be tasted!
Finally the desserts: tenerina with mascarpone, chocolate cake, amaretti and rum, tart with apricot jam. If you want to try it it is essential to book.
