Sushi in Bologna, three places to eat excellent sushi in the city, also in the all you can eat formula. Sushi is now a trend: here you will find three Bolognese places to taste this tasty dish and live a real Japanese experience.
I don't know about you but I literally love the sushi and more generally the Japanese food.
I live in Bologna for over fifteen years, so I had the opportunity to try many Japanese restaurants in order to make a short ranking. As we know, Japanese restaurants are generally divided into All You Can Eat and a la carte restaurants. Here I will make a mixed ranking, where you can choose according to your tastes. So here it is the three best restaurants to eat sushi in Bologna.
1. Yoma, in Piazza Maggiore
It is located in Via Fossalta 3, just a stone's throw from Piazza Maggiore, Yoma, All You Can Eat Japanese restaurant recently renovated. The place is very large and really nice but, given the location, I recommend you book if you are more than two people. It offers an extensive All You Can Eat menu that ranges from nigiri, uramaki, sashimi, to sauteed rice noodles and much more.
The quality is really good, the service is fast and it won't disappoint you in any way. Try various dishes of tuna and salmon sashimi with sesame and poppy, really tasty. Even the bathrooms in this sushi are beautiful. Price All You Can Eat dinner at € 25,90, holidays and weekends € 26,90, drinks not included. While the All You Can Eat lunch menu costs € 15,90 and € 16,90 on holidays and weekends. It sure is for me the best All You Can Eat in the center of Bologna, perfect when you want to have a feast or for a lunch / dinner with friends.
2. Higashi, Via Riva di Reno
Higashi is located in Via Riva di Reno 39 / F, in the center but in a side street of Via Marconi, less touristy and crowded. It is a definitely above average Japanese restaurant. Here there is no All You Can Eat menu but you can eat only on paper therefore, charge a minimum of € 40 / € 50 each if you want to have a nice meal with wine attached, much less if you have a light lunch. The quality is really excellent, you will immediately see it from the dishes served that are hyper accurate and particular. Here, in fact, you will not only find the classic sushi dishes but all the dishes have that extra detail, from the dish to the flavor. The place is nice, a little tight and with low lighting, so I recommend it more for a couple dinner or with your best friend.
3. Sakura, Via Bassa dei Sassi
Another All You Can Eat, but this time out of town, is the one located in Via Bassa dei Sassi 4, in Roveri area. Sakura is a nice restaurant that offers sushi and Asian fusion dishes in large quantities. The service is kind and the quality of the food is always a certainty. Prices range from the All You Can Eat menu at € 14 for lunch to € 22 for dinner. Excellent value for money. Perfect if you are driving around and want a comfortable place to park that satisfies your palate. Ideal both as a couple or with a group of friends. It also has suggestive private rooms by reservation.
The advice is to try all three, maybe during different weekends, you will be satisfied.
