The review of the Pane Vino e Caffè Theater in the historic center of Rimini, next to the already more famous Spazi. Here's what we recommend and why we rate it positively.
Il Theater bread wine and coffee is the new venue that has been opened in one of the most important squares in the historic center of Rimini, Piazza Cavour, where until recently there was the old Caffè Teatro.
The local
The new management has been able to renew not only the name but also all the furnishings, recreating a modern, welcoming and refined environment. All 'internal there are about ten tables, in my opinion the right number of seats to create a pleasant atmosphere without too much confusion. All 'external instead there is a large room overlooking the square which remains open in the summer and semi-open and heated in the winter, well cared for and with numerous tables. Besides the furniture, one of the features that I most appreciated of the internal room is the fact that each table has its own coat hanger, a very comfortable and highly appreciated solution especially by us women. But let's talk about the food!
Aperitif and more
At the Teatro pane vino e caffè I have been there on three different occasions: Breakfast, aperitif and lunch. At breakfast the restaurant offers different sweet solutions (brioche, dry pastries and homemade cakes) and savory (well-filled sandwiches and sandwiches and more) followed by coffee and fresh juices. I opted for a montebianco (typical Rimini coffee) and a 5-grain brioche: all superlative. It is no coincidence that the brioches are provided by one of the best pastry shops in Rimini.
And it was also superlativeappetizer, which is not a buffet as is the case in almost all the places, where I was served a glass of wine (wisely recommended by the owner) and in addition to chips and olives, a delicious tray with numerous tastings including barley and broccoli, gnocchi al cheese, cream of courgettes, stuffed spianatine and other delicacies strictly prepared with local products. All in a modest way price of € 5,00.
The wine is one of the strong points of the place that I discovered to be also an excellent restaurant, as it also carries out the service of lunch e price in which I had the pleasure of tasting a delicious lasagna with shrimp and zucchini (so good that I didn't find the time to photograph it!).
The bar girls are very kind and nice and the owner's advice on the wine list is excellent
