Umbra Forest
Don't be fooled by the name: we are in Puglia, not Umbria. The name, in this case, derives from the Latin word for shadow. The Umbrian forest is one 400-hectare nature reserve within the Gargano National Park. It is the right place for those who want to come face to face with a luxuriant and uncontaminated nature. Among secular trees and forest animals, you can also be lucky enough to see many species of local birds.
Gargano lakes
If you fancy something other than the sea, explore and the area of Lesina and Varano lakes. They are located north of the promontory, inside the Gargano national park.
Vieste
The blinding white houses and the winding alleys of the historic center will make you fall in love with the city of Vieste at first sight. The famous cathedral and castle are two of the places not to be missed.
Peschici
Its position, on a hill overlooking the sea, gives Peschici one truly unforgettable view. Here too we find a very interesting historic center made up of narrow streets, shops and ancient traditions. For its clear and clean waters, Peschici has been recognized "blue flag".
Tremiti Islands

What to see typically in Gargano? No doubt the many caves (about 700), of karst origin, are one of the most characteristic natural manifestations of the area.
